Using our online educational comics to educate community members how to advocate for their rights in the health system. Click here to view our educational comics.

Doing group role-plays where we act out different scenarios of problems/challenges/barriers that community members commonly face in the health system and then brainstorm possible solutions.

In addition we can also include 1.5 hours computer training:

We do this because we know we cannot teach students how to use online resources like the Salud Manual if they do not yet know how to use a computer or the Internet. The Salud Manual workshop combined with computer technology is 2 hours. Click here for details on computer training.

Why refer clients/students to our workshops?

They will: learn to find and connect to important health and social service resources in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, learn tools to advocate for themselves in the health system, develop technology skills, learn to find information when they need it without having to go to others (empowering process).
